I am very lucky to have such an awesome studio in the basement of our house. It is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer. There’s one small problem…because I have to open the window for make-up air being pulled from the ventilation, it heats up pretty good in summer and I nearly freeze in winter when I am lampworking.
We had a scorcher today-hot and humid and one of those bad air quality days with lots of warnings. However, I had the time and the desire to make lots of beads today. So I did. The kiln is now ramping down after a long workout. I keep the kiln running all day because I am frequently interrupted. I have it programed to sit at 950 degrees for 16 hours. Sometimes I use every single minute of that hold. Usually I skip to the next segment though.
I am just hoping the beads are gorgeous so that I didn’t waste all that time I could’ve spent napping instead. LOL!
